1. Brave new world is a Utopian novel that is more dystonia in depth. Society is split into five caste systems: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilons. The people are given drugs called "soma" to make them constantly happy when in reality they're being self-delusioned. The authorities use these drugs to play with the minds of the people so that they're in control. One of the main characters end up committing suicide because they can no longer live in the society they live in. Throughout the novel the citizens seemed unconscious towards the harsh reality they live in

2.Huxley believes that society is being controlled by the government which takes away from an individuals personal freedom, happiness, and truth. All throughout the novel the use of soma before and after birth is being controlled as if the people are puppets. their actions, behaviors, and emotions are all being controlled technological interventions. The state uses the drugs to keep the people happy when in reality they're just controlling their actions. The state control of society in the novel causes a complete loss of humanity.  Everyone is like a robot and is being programmed what to do or how to act. Huxley gives us a warning that letting new and powerful. Throughout the novel the public seemed unconscious towards the harsh reality of the world they live in. The reasoning for this is because they are being denied their freedoms and true happiness throughout the entirety of the novel.  They are avoiding the underlying truth of their "utopia" and the use of "Soma" is how this is done.  Soma causes a self-delusion and blocks out present reality and instead replaces them with hallucinations that appear happy to them.  It is used to take away from their individual freedoms and promotes social stability.  This in turn prevents the public from gaining any scientific or empirical truth and destroys all human truths such as friendship and love. This shows that as the world evolves humanity will decline even though humans exist they are controlled like robots

5. Third quarter was more easier than second quarter. Although i had a very high grade in this quarter compared to the rest of the quarters it was very hard for me to get there. I started the quarter off with a very low grade so it took alot of hard work and dedication to bring it up especially since i was missing alot of days in school. I believe that this was my favorite quarter so far because I enjoyed some of the work we've done such as the civil disobedience section of the quarter. Next quarter i look forward to preparing mentally and physically for the AP Exam and continuing to maintain my A's in both seminair and AP.
